David Hamer (Keyboard, Whistles, Recorder, Voice)

David was born and educated in Blackpool, where he was involved in the same operatic groups as Anne.  After studying Mediaeval French and German at Oxford, he moved to to Leeds to teach and then over to Manchester.

We met him by chance at the opera, and found he had a love of similar music and places. We had managed to play at the same pubs for two years and not meet.  Our last collaboration with David was a concert for  “Friends of the BBC Phil” in Studio 7 at BBC Manchester” in summer 1989.  He has since moved to Finland where he works as a language teacher.  WE await his eventual return.
