False Knight has always been more than a mere folk group!
Formed in 1981 as an umbrella for the musical activities of John and Anne Butterworth and their associates, it has, with some ebb and flow continued to the present with a continuing love and enthusiasm for the music.
False Knight comes perilously close to being heritage.
Personnel (Over the years)
Many people have passed through the gathering over the years, they have stayed as long as they have needed to and left on good terms. We are still in contact with most.
One day we will have a big reunion...
